From Construction Site to Clean, Safe, and Move-In Ready
Construction dust, debris left behind by contractors, and fine drywall dust clinging to every surface—that’s what remains after a renovation or new build in South Florida.

Whether you’re a homeowner preparing to move into a newly built or renovated house, a contractor working toward a certificate of occupancy, or a business getting a new space ready for clients, the transition from “construction complete” to “ready to occupy” requires professional post-construction cleaning.

Debby Maid Cleaning Services handles that transition for residential and commercial properties across Broward County and Palm Beach County. Call (561) 849-9028 or request a free quote to get started.
Our Post Construction Cleaning Services
Post-construction cleaning is divided into three phases: rough clean, deep clean, and final clean. Each phase targets different types of construction debris and dust, and each requires different specialized equipment and techniques.
Debby Maid handles all three for both residential and commercial properties throughout Palm Beach County and Broward County.
Rough Construction Cleanup
The rough clean happens while construction is still wrapping up. It covers removal of large construction debris: scrap wood, insulation pieces, packaging, leftover materials, drywall offcuts, and general waste. Surfaces get an initial wipe-down, and the site is cleared so finish trades (painters, flooring installers) can complete their work safely.

The construction company is responsible for initial cleanup of major debris from the job site. When contractors need help getting the space organized for final inspections and finishing work, the rough clean fills that gap. The result: a safe, organized site ready for the last round of finish work.
Fine Dust Removal & Detail Cleaning
This is where post construction cleaners earn their fee. The deep clean includes high-dusting and detailed cleaning of surfaces that rough cleanup doesn't touch. Fine drywall dust settles into air vents, behind doors, inside cabinets, along baseboards, and in HVAC ductwork. Construction dust can affect indoor air quality if not removed from these hidden areas.

What this phase covers:
-
HEPA vacuuming of all surfaces, including walls, ceilings, window tracks, cabinet interiors, and shelving
-
Detailed surface cleaning of countertops, vanities, light fixtures, and other surfaces with appropriate cleaners
-
Air vent and register cleaning to remove construction dust before the HVAC system circulates it through the space
-
Interior cleaning of closets, bathroom fixtures, and built-in furniture
-
Removal of adhesive residue, grout haze, and paint overspray from floors, glass, and trim
-
Cleaning windows and glass, which involves removing protective films and residues from both interior and exterior panes
Professional cleaning removes fine dust from surfaces and ventilation systems that standard cleaning misses entirely. Thorough cleaning prevents dust from circulating in newly occupied spaces, which is particularly important for families with young children or anyone with respiratory conditions.
Final Move-In Preparation
Final Move-In Preparation
The final clean is the last pass before occupancy. Final clean consists of floor care and odor management: polishing hard floors, deep cleaning carpets, ensuring no construction residue remains on any surface. Final cleaning ensures surfaces are polished and ready for use.

A final inspection ensures all debris and dust have been addressed before occupancy. In many cases, a clean environment is often required for regulatory compliance and final occupancy permits.
Post-construction cleaning also helps create a strong first impression for businesses opening a new office or retail location. Thorough cleaning protects finished surfaces from damage and staining that occurs when construction residue sits too long on new finishes.
